These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings, and access limited to staff who need the information to do their jobs.
How does The Motor House collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you apply for financing, give us your income information, provide employment information, give us your contact information, or buy or trade a vehicle. We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus and lenders.
Why can’t I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes (information about your creditworthiness), affiliates using your information to market to you, and nonaffiliates using your information to market to you. Other important information
This notice covers the financing and purchase services of The Motor House. The sections below describe how this website handles information.
Forms on this website
Our forms ask for your first name and a way to reach you (mobile phone or email), and sometimes the car you’re interested in, your trade-in (VIN or year, make and model, and mileage) and a preferred test-drive time. We use this to answer your request, set up a test drive, value your trade and send you the details you asked for. We record where your visit came from (for example a search or a listing site) so we know which ads work. No form on this website asks for your Social Security number. Apart from the credit application (below), our forms never ask for your date of birth, driver’s license number, bank details or income.
Session replay and masking (Microsoft Clarity)
This website uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use it, through session recordings and heatmaps. Every form on this website, confirmations that repeat your details, the financing application area and trade-in photo previews are masked, so what you type there is not recorded. We never send your name, phone number or email to Clarity. Microsoft’s privacy statement: privacy.microsoft.com.
Your privacy choices
You can turn off session recording for this browser. We keep the choice in a cookie on this device; clearing your cookies turns recording back on.
Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
Our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated spam. Turnstile checks signals from your browser; it does not ask you to solve a puzzle in most cases and is not used to track you across sites. Cloudflare’s privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Texts and calls: consent and STOP
Each of our lead forms has one unchecked box for calls and texts, and the form is sent only with that box checked. Checking it means you agree to this wording:
Yes, I agree that The Motor House may call and text me at the number I provided about my inquiry, including with automated technology, prerecorded or AI-generated voice, and automated texts. Calls may be recorded. Msg & data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
We keep a record of the exact wording and its version, that the box was checked, the time, the page, your IP address and your device details as proof of your consent. Consent is not a condition of any purchase: you can also call us at (630) 636-7052 or visit without filling in a form. Reply STOP to any text, or say “stop” on a call, to opt out at any time. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies.
Financing applications
This website does not take credit applications. Apply on our secure credit application at themotorhouse.org/loan-application; that form and our dealer software are covered by their own privacy notices. This website never asks for your Social Security number and never collects or stores one. Applications sent earlier through this website are encrypted when stored, seen only by our staff, used to arrange your financing, and deleted 90 days after they were sent. A financing partner’s secure form, where shown on our financing page, is covered by that partner’s own privacy notice.
How long we keep information
We keep website inquiries and their messages for 2 years after your last contact with us, and records of call and text consent for 4 years, as consent law requires. After that they are deleted. Records of a vehicle purchase or financing are kept as long as the law requires.
